In conjunction with the summer issue of GRAMMY magazine, The Recording Academy recently hosted 20/20 Foresight: Creating Music's Future Today, a panel exploring a wealth of topics relating to the future of the music industry.

The panel was moderated by GRAMMY-nominated producer/songwriter Harvey Mason Jr., and featured Peter Asher, GRAMMY-winning producer/artist and president of Peter Asher Management; Craig Bowers, founder of Revelity; John Burk, chief creative officer of Concord Music Group; and MC Lyte, GRAMMY-nominated hip-hop artist, Recording Academy Los Angeles Chapter President and executive vice president of DuBose Music Group.

The panelists engaged in a lively and insightful discussion on topics such as recorded music, the live concert industry, new technologies such as the cloud, music's independent sector, and the steps they are taking in their respective careers to prepare for the future, among other topics.
