The Recording Academy and CBS have announced two televised GRAMMY specials celebrating the music of Earth, Wind & Fire and Cyndi Lauper. Each event will highlight the music and legacy of iconic, GRAMMY-winning artists.

Fittingly titled after their hit song, "A GRAMMY Salute to Earth, Wind & Fire Live: The 21st Night of September" will air Sunday, Sept. 21. The special will be available on the CBS Television Network from 8-10 p.m. ET/PT, and stream on Paramount+. The special is executive produced by Ben Winston, Patrick Menton and Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr.; Fulwell Entertainment and GRAMMY Studios are producing.

This once-in-a-lifetime musical event sees the legendary band perform at the Hollywood Bowl with the world-renowned L.A. Philharmonic. "A GRAMMY Salute to Earth, Wind & Fire Live" will celebrate nine-time GRAMMY-winning group’s enduring legacy, cultural impact and timeless sound with hit songs and special guests. Stevie Wonder, the Jonas Brothers, Jon Batiste, and Janelle Monáe are among the artists making special appearances. 

On Sunday, Oct. 5, "A GRAMMY Salute to Cyndi Lauper: Live from the Hollywood Bowl"  will air on the CBS Television Network from 8-10 p.m. ET/PT and stream on Paramount+. Filmed over two nights at the Hollywood Bowl as Lauper concluded her year-long Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour, this all-star concert celebrates icon's beloved catalog.

"A GRAMMY Salute to Cyndi Lauper" will feature special guests, including Joni Mitchell, Cher, Angélique Kidjo, John Legend, SZA, Mickey Guyton, Trombone Shorty, and Jake Wesley Rogers. The televised event also includes video tributes from Brandi Carlile. Ken Ehrlich, Cyndi Lauper, Harvey Mason Jr., Brian Burke, and Lisa Barbaris are executive producers; Ken Ehrlich Productions and GRAMMY Studios are producing.

Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers will have access to stream live via the live feed of their local CBS affiliate on the service, as well as on-demand. Paramount+ Essential subscribers will not have the option to stream live, but will have access to on-demand the day after the special airs. Photos and clips from both specials will be made available in the lead up to their respective air dates later this fall.
