For artists who tour the globe most of the year, it's important to have a little taste of home. AGNEZ MO couldn't agree more.
Along with the usual backstage suspects — hot tea, coffee, a sofa — the Indonesian singer, actress and model always wants nasi padang before a show. The traditional Indonesian dish consists of rice ("nasi" translates to rice) as well as several cooked dishes to eat with it, including grilled chicken, vegetables and curry.
"I can't believe that I feel so passionate about nasi padang," AGNEZ MO says. "I grew up eating that, and I think I'm always gonna have that on my rider."
In this episode of Herbal Tea & White Sofas, AGNEZ MO also deems herself a "coffee snob," breaking down her rather complex go-to order. "When you taste that right amount of caramel or vanilla sauce, you can't go back to regular coffee," she quips with a shrug.
