- Born in Egbert Nathaniel Dawkins III on Jan. 6, 1979, Laguna Hills, California
- Aloe Blacc's single "I Need A Dollar" became the theme song to the HBO show "How To Make It In America" in 2010. He garnered a big breakthrough in co-writing and contributing vocals to Avicci's chart-topping 2013 hit, "Wake Me Up."
- At the 57th GRAMMY Awards, Blacc received his first career GRAMMY nomination for Best R&B Album for Lift Your Spirit, his third studio album.
- Did you know? Blacc served as an advisor on Adam Levine's team on season six of "The Voice."
- In 2017 Blacc performed alongside GRAMMY Camp students at GRAMMY in The Schools Live!, an official GRAMMY Week event in Los Angeles.
- Blacc is a supporter of Malaria No More, a charitable organization that strives to end malaria in Africa.
