- Formed in Brisbane, Australia, in 1958
- Over their career, the Bee Gees recorded 30 Top 40 hits, including nine No. 1 hits from 1971's "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" to 1979's "Love You Inside Out." The soundtrack to 1977's Saturday Night Fever, which featured Bee Gees smashes such as "Stayin' Alive" and "How Deep Is Your Love," hit No. 1.

- In 2017 The Recording Academy presented "Stayin' Alive: A GRAMMY Salute To The Music Of The Bee Gees," a CBS TV special that celebrated the 40th-anniversary celebration of the landmark Saturday Night Fever film soundtrack.
- In 2015 the Bee Gees were honored with The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2003 they received the GRAMMY Legend Award.
