- His sixth studio album, Prestige, hit No. 1 on Billboard's Latin Albums chart. It also earned a Latin GRAMMY nomination for Best Urban Music Album.
- Daddy Yankee earned his first GRAMMY nomination at the 50th GRAMMY Awards for Best Latin Urban Album for El Cartel: The Big Boss.
- Did you know? Daddy Yankee wanted to be a professional baseball player, and he even tried out for the Seattle Mariners. However, after being shot in the hip, he focused on music during his recovery and never looked back.
