  • Born Joshua Winslow Groban on Feb. 27, 1981, in Los Angeles, California
  • Following his Top 10 self-titled debut album, Josh Groban's flexible tenor voice took him to new heights when his second album, 2004's Closer, topped the Billboard 200 led by the hit single "You Raise Me Up."
  • Groban earned his first career GRAMMY nomination for 2004 for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "You Raise Me Up." He made his GRAMMY stage debut at the 50th GRAMMY Awards in 2008 when he performed an unforgettable duet of "The Prayer" with Andrea Bocelli.
  • Did you know? Groban, a self-processed lover of magic, auditioned for a job at the Magic Castle nightclub as a teen. 
  • Groban performed during the 2010 MusiCares Person of the Year tribute to Neil Young. The annual Person of the Year gala raises funds for MusiCares, which provides services and resources that cover a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies for music people.
  • In 2011 Groban launched the Find Your Light Foundation dedicated to "enriching the lives of young people through arts, education and cultural awareness."
