- Linkin Park hit it big with their 2000 debut album, Hybrid Theory, which rose to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the No. 2 hit "In The End."
- The band earned their first three GRAMMY nominations at the 44th GRAMMY Awards, including Best New Artist, Best Rock Album (Hybrid Theory) and Best Hard Rock Performance ("Crawling"). They took home their first GRAMMY that same year for Best Hard Rock Performance.
- At the 48th GRAMMY Awards, Linkin Park performed "Numb/Encore" and the Beatles' "Yesterday" with Jay Z and Paul McCartney, marking the group's GRAMMY stage debut.
- Did you know? Band member Mike Shinoda was a graphic designer, and he was responsible for the cover artwork on Hybrid Theory.
- Linkin Park founded Music for Relief in response to the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. Since then the organization has raised millions in relief funding through benefit concerts, online auctions, and events with other artists and celebrities for natural disasters that have occurred around the world.
