- Born May 24, 1955, Memphis, Tenn.
- Rosanne Cash experienced commercial success with her 1981 album, Seven Year Ache, which hit No. 26. The title track reached No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Cash's highest charting single to date.
- She won her first GRAMMY for 1985 for Best Country Vocal Performance, Female for "I Don't Know Why You Don't Want Me."
- In 2015 Cash was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
- In 2010 Cash participated in An Evening With installment at the GRAMMY Museum. Accompanied by her husband/producer, John Leventhal, Cash performed a brief set and took questions from the audience.
- In 2013 the GRAMMY winner wrote "Jim & George" exclusively for the Church of St. Luke in the Fields in New York. Proceeds from sales of the song benefited local LGBT outreach programs.
