With the release of BTS' third album, Love Yourself: Tear, less than two weeks out, the group has dropped a comeback trailer for the album in the form of "Singularity," a new song and video featuring the R&B stylings of V.

The song shows a smoother yet eerier side of the group as V takes center stage to deliver a haunting tale, which seems to reference the Greek myth of Narcissus, who died after falling in love with his own reflection, as Billboard points out.

V's vocal delivery is breathy and intimate, and the video's dynamic choreography and striking visuals lead up to its final shot of the singer wearing a white mask with a single black tear streaming down it and one earing bearing the word, "loved."

While the track listing for Love Yourself: Tear has not yet been revealed, "Singularity" provides yet another interesting look ahead at the group's new project. Back on April 5, BTS released an epic nine-minute long "Euphoria: Theme Of Love Yourself: Wonder," causing many fans to speculate their new album would be called "Love Yourself: Wonder."

Then, last month BTS announced the new album will be called Love Yourself: Tear, and it will arrive May 18 as the second installment of the "Love Yourself" series, following their 2017 Love Yourself: Her EP. The group will be in the U.S. surrounding the album drop with appearances scheduled at the Billboard Music Awards on May 20 and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on May 25.

The Korean pop superstars have also announced the Love Yourself World Tour, which will take the group to around the globe, including stops in six North American cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, and Newark,
