On Feb. 4 at a press conference at the GRAMMY Museum at L.A. Live, Disney and the GRAMMY Foundation unveiled hand-painted instruments with world-renowned GRAMMY-winning jazz bassist/composer Stanley Clarke and Walt Disney Animation Studios artists to raise funds for music education.

Disney Youth Group Programs at the Walt Disney World Resort combined with the creative efforts of the Walt Disney Animation Studios and the generosity of Conn-Selmer Inc., the leading manufacturer and distributor of band and orchestral instruments, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Disney Magic Music Days by donating five unique hand-painted string basses for auction. These one-of-a-kind works of art have been designed and painted by artists from the world-renowned Walt Disney Animation Studios, which has created fully animated feature films since 1937. The artists have donated their time and creativity to create each bass. The event marked their official debut, and they will now be displayed separately at the GRAMMY Museum and other music and art museums across the United States.

Following the tour, the string bases will be auctioned by Julien's Auctions at their summer entertainment auction at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on June 25. The proceeds from the sale will benefit the GRAMMY in the Schools music education programs of the GRAMMY Foundation, which works year-round to bring national attention to the value and impact of music and arts education.
