"I won't waste your time/ I won't waste my time when it comes to you/ Put my pride aside, give it all to you," Fridayy declares in the song's chorus. He solidifies his promise in the second verse: "I'd be down to risk it all if you ask me to/ Ain't playin' with your heart 'cause that's too much to lose."
In this episode of Press Play, Fridayy delivers a heartfelt performance of "When It Comes To You." Sitting in a dark room illuminated by a spotlight, Fridayy croons the romantic tune over a burning electric guitar.
As the Philadelphia-born artist recalls, he wrote the track "very fast from the heart." And as the song's sweet lyrics indicate, it's dedicated to "a special person."
"When It Comes To You" follows three other tracks Fridayy has released in 2023, but his first solo single of the year. Earlier this year, Fridayy celebrated his first three GRAMMY nominations for "GOD DID," his collaboration with DJ Khaled, Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and John Legend.
