The San Francisco Chapter and the GRAMMY Foundation hosted GRAMMY SoundChecks, presented by Verizon, with Texas rockers Blue October before their show at The Warfield. Galileo Arts & Technology High School and GRAMMY U members were able to ask the band about the inspiration for their songs and how their hard work has paid off over the last decade. The band talked about how hard work and determination were the only reason they were able to go from being dropped from a major label and then signed again a few years later. After 12 years pursuing their muse, Blue October has finally made their mark on the charts, with their last release, Foiled, going platinum.
