On Nov. 13 Nashville Chapter GRAMMY U students took part in a GRAMMY SoundChecks with Lady Antebellum. Approximately 30 students gathered at Middle Tennessee State University for this up-close-and-personal evening with the group.

The event kicked off with an intimate discussion with group members Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood. This was an exciting time for Scott, a former GRAMMY U member, to go back to her college and perform for several of her friends and colleagues. The group was especially excited about receiving the Horizon Award at the Country Music Awards the previous night.

Following discussion, the group headed to the stage area where they played through a couple of their songs. Lady Antebellum proved to the members that success can be found if you work hard enough to get yourself out there. "They were so were real and down to earth," a student said. The excitement of the soundcheck overflowed to the concert later that night. All of the students were given complimentary tickets to the show, which also featured artists Jason Aldean and Eric Durrance.
