On Jan. 26 the PNW Chapter, along with the GRAMMY Foundation, hosted a SoundChecks event with GRAMMY-winning British soul singer Adele, who was just named Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 51st GRAMMY Awards. GRAMMY University students enjoyed a private question and answer session where Adele discussed a variety of music business-related topics including how she got her start and her advice for aspiring singer/songwriters.

The students were grateful to hear Adele's success story and her suggestions on how to get their music heard by a wider audience. The students posed for a photo with Adele and also received an autographed photo and a GRAMMY U T-shirt. Following the question and answer session, Adele treated students to a private soundcheck before her sold-out performance that evening at Neumo's.
