GRAMMY season is officially underway! The 2025 GRAMMYs, officially known as the 67th GRAMMY Awards, will take place on Sunday, Feb. 2. Hosted by comedian, author, and three-time GRAMMY nominee Trevor Noah for the fifth consecutive year, the 2025 GRAMMYs will air live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

This year’s telecast carries a renewed purpose, raising funds to support wildfire relief efforts for Los Angeles and aid music professionals impacted by the recent disaster. The Recording Academy and MusiCares have pledged over $1 million and raised over $3.2 million to date in support toward the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort To Support Music Professionals.

How Is The Recording Academy Giving Back During The 2025 GRAMMYs?

The 2025 GRAMMYs telecast will also serve as a fundraising event in support of the Recording Academy and MusiCares’ Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort. Since launching the fund on Jan. 9, the Recording Academy and MusiCares have distributed more than $4 million in emergency aid to over 2,000 music professionals affected by the wildfires. When the wildfire crisis in Los Angeles began, the Recording Academy and MusiCares immediately launched MusiCares Fire Relief to support impacted music people.

Additionally, Recording Academy and MusiCares partnered with Direct Relief, the California Community Foundation, and the Pasadena Community Foundation to expand aid efforts for those impacted by the L.A. wildfires. These partnerships will extend beyond the music industry, helping to support local residents, first responders and community organizations.

What’s New At The 2025 GRAMMYs?

The 2025 GRAMMYs include significant updates aimed at enhancing the awards process and inclusivity. These changes reflect the Recording Academy's commitment to staying current with the evolving music industry:

  • Eligibility changes: Featured artists with under 50% playtime in genre album Categories will now receive Winners' Certificates.

  • Songwriter Of The Year updates: Songwriters need a minimum of four credits (down from five) to qualify, and can submit up to five songs in supporting roles.

  • Category renaming and adjustments:

  • Best Pop Dance Recording is now Best Dance Pop Recording.

  • Best Dance/Electronic Music Album is now Best Dance/Electronic Album with updated criteria.

  • Best Traditional R&B Performance and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album were updated to better reflect their respective genres.

  • Conjunto music will now be recognized in the Best Regional Roots Music Album Category
