"I hear stories of love like in the movies/ But they're never about me/ Am I doin' somethin' wrong?" Madison Watkins ponders in the opening lines of her 2021 single, "Someday."

While the first verse may not seem sunny, Watkins' moving song is actually one of hope. And judging by the way she passionately delivers the tune in her episode of Positive Vibes Only, she's more optimistic than lovelorn.

"I know that you're out there waiting just for me/ All that I imagine, like a vision from my dreams/ How long is forever 'cause that's how long I'll wait/ Just to spend forever here with you someday," Watkins belts in the chorus.

Fans of American Idol may recognize the Fayetteville, Ark. native, who finished in the Top 12 of Season 19 last year. Watkins has since released two singles through her own Mad Wat Productions, dropping "Someday" in November.

The singer further showed her hope for a lifelong love upon releasing "Someday," penning a note to her future husband in an Instagram post about the song. "Without knowing it... you are helping so many heal, have a new hope, and search for a love that is healthy and whole," she wrote. "I can't wait to show you this song one day while we are dancing in the kitchen laughing about how desperately we wanted to meet each other one day. I love you so much already."

Watkins' Positive Vibes Only episode arrives just before her first 2022 single, "Lose To Love," which she'll release on March 9.
