Pandora Posts 4Q Loss
Pandora Media Inc. reported a net loss of $8.2 million for the fourth quarter ending Jan. 31, a wider deficit compared to the $3.9 million loss reported during the same period last year, when the the company was still privately held. Despite the loss, the company’s revenue reached $81.3 million, up 71 percent compared to the $47.6 million reported last year. Additionally, total active users reached 47 million at the end of 2011, a 62 percent increase from 2010, and listening hours increased 109 percent to 8.2 billion. (3/7)
Country Hall Of Fame Inductions Announced
The Country Music Association has announced it will induct GRAMMY-winning artist Garth Brooks, GRAMMY-winning keyboardist Hargus "Pig" Robbins and GRAMMY-nominated singer Connie Smith into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Though a specific date and location has not been revealed, the group will be inducted at a ceremony at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville later this year. (3/7)
