More than 50,000 people flooded Los Angeles State Historic Park to rejoice at Primavera Sound from Sept. 16-18. The three-day festival boasted dozens of elaborate rock, dance, indie and electronic acts across four stages, brightening the city’s already sunny demeanor.

"L.A.’s just always been so sweet to us and so great," Greg Gonzalez of Cigarettes After Sex tells GRAMMY.com. We love L.A. L.A. is a city that really just took us in, and everybody’s always so excited," adds Raquel Berrios, the lead singer of Latin music project Buscabulla. "There were some Puerto Rican flags out in the crowd, and it was fun."

"I see where it takes me; I don’t really have a plan in mind," says Helena Hauff on her set’s versatility. "I just go and feel the vibe and see what I wanna do and where it ends up."
