In the latter half of the pandemic, Carnatic and R&B singer Sid Sriram learned an important lesson: love is at the center of everything, but especially during hardships. His latest single, "The Hard Way," celebrates the loved ones he might've once taken for granted.

"We learned the hard way/ Love's at the center of it all/ I love you, I love you more/ Than you'll ever know/ Love's at the center of it all," Sriram croons in the second verse.

In this episode of Press Play, Sriram delivers a fierce performance of "The Hard Way." He sings live from a studio, supported by a buttery electric guitar.

"The Hard Way" is the lead single from Sriram's upcoming self-titled album, Sidharth, out August 25 via Do What You Love Records. On July 26, Sriram will premiere the music from his new album in a one-night-only show at The Roxy in Los Angeles; Sriram will then join Bon Iver for his U.S. Summer Tour, beginning August 5 in Madison, Wisconsin.
