The Texas Chapter, in partnership with the GRAMMY Foundation, hosted a GRAMMY SoundChecks event with Sub Pop recording artists the Shins on March 7 in conjunction with their Austin concert appearance. Before the sun set at the Backyard in Austin, an intimate group of 12 GRAMMY University Network students from the University of Texas and Texas State University gathered backstage for a rare up-close-and-personal discussion with the band followed by the chance to observe the concert sound check and production.
