The Nashville Chapter along with the GRAMMY Foundation presented GRAMMY SoundChecks with Fall Out Boy and Gym Class Heroes on Nov. 6. Due to a power failure on the stage, Fall Out Boy surprised students with a two-song acoustic set in a private area close to the concession stands. They also discussed the songwriting and producing process and how they manage through the difficulties.
Gym Class Heroes took front and center and wanted students to ask personal and difficult questions. First off, Travis McCoy said, "Ask us anything you want. Seriously, we'll answer any questions you got." The band was honest and upfront with their answers. Following the question-and-answer session, students gathered for pictures with the band and had extra time for extended conversations with some of the band members.
