The Nashville Chapter, in partnership with the GRAMMY Foundation, hosted a GRAMMY SoundChecks with GRAMMY nominated artist Yolanda Adams at the Ryman Auditorium on April 7. A total of 25 students from the new GRAMMY University Network program — which includes students from Middle Tennessee State University, Belmont University, and Tennessee State University — attended the event and experienced an hour-long sound check with Adams.

Yolanda rehearsed four of her songs and ended with her recent hit, "Victory." She filled the students with so much energy that they were standing and dancing the entire time. Her glowing personality and positive sense of humor made the students feel at ease to ask her all of their questions during the question-and-answer session.
