In 2015, Christian singer Katy Nichole underwent life-changing surgery to soothe the pain from her debilitating scoliosis. After a few weeks into recovery, Nichole's pain became more excruciating, spiraling her into a dark mental headspace. She began to contemplate suicide, but after picking up the bottle of pills, the voice of God called out, "Hold on. I'm not done yet."

In this episode of Positive Vibes Only, Nichole performs "Hold On," the song she created in homage to this impactful moment. Nichole belts out the lyrics from a New York City church, amplifying her testimony of God's power.

"I'll stay in the fight and look to the one who said/ 'Hold on just a little bit longer/ I know it's gonna be okay/ These days are gonna make you stronger/ You'll find a purpose in the pain,'" Nichole narrates on the chorus.

Nichole first rose to fame in 2018 after teasing the chorus of her breakthrough single, "In Jesus Name (God of Possible)," on TikTok. Through music, she strives to share her prayer of God's healing and breakthrough: "I believe in the power of power. Everyone needs prayer, and there's so much power in declaring that over someone," she said in a press statement.
