The nominees for the 2022 Latin GRAMMYs have been out for more than a month — and two of them just showcased their talents in a vibey setting in gorgeous Madrid, Spain.
The performance was part of the Latin Recording Academy's acoustic concert series, held in celebration of the nominees for the 2022 Latin GRAMMYs — which will be held on Nov. 17 at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
Held Oct. 26 in the vaunted Las Ventas bull ring, the acoustic concert featured performances of compositions chosen by the artists — as well as unpublished collaborations, duets and narrations — with production by BCA Music.
"With our Latin GRAMMY Acoustic Sessions, we seek to open spaces for the new generation of music creators in an organic and inclusive way," said Manuel Abud, CEO of the Latin Recording Academy. "We are very excited to be able to celebrate in Madrid on our road to the 23rd Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards."
The performance follows the 2022 Latin GRAMMY Acoustic Sessions' kickoff last July. That presentation featured an online concert from Mexico City featuring Latin GRAMMY nominee El Fantasma accompanied by Latin GRAMMY winners Los Dos Carnales and Latin GRAMMY winner and GRAMMY® nominee Lupita Infante.
In addition, the Latin Academy recorded a second online concert in Sao Paulo with Latin GRAMMY nominees Giulia Be, Luísa Sonza and Paula Lima alongside Manu Gavassi and Agnes Nunes, which included classic songs from legendary singer/songwriter Rita Lee.
Below, check out some striking photos from the concert — and let them whet your appetite for the 2022 Latin GRAMMYs right around the corner!
