On "OVA," Nigerian singer Lojay traces the love story of a relationship doomed from the beginning, much like the tale of Romeo and Juliet. Now that it's finally over, he grapples with the regret of wasted time.

"We knew we could never work out, truly/ Like Romeo loving Julie/ Issues we could never sort out truly," Lojay reveals in the song's opening verse.

In this episode of Press Play, Lojay delivers an unapologetic performance of the single, sitting in a chair with a wine glass in hand. Continuing the metaphor of a modern Shakespeare saga, he performs in a European-inspired setting, with ebony window shutters and Venetian plaster walls.

"OVA" is the closing track from Lojay's newest EP, Gangster Romantic, which he revealed in a press statement is his most timeless project to date. "I didn't make this project because I wanted to have hits out," he said. "I made this project because I wanted people to listen to something they can connect with and hold onto for a long time."

Lojay will perform "OVA" and many other tracks on the road this year. In May, he'll play shows in Luxembourg and Norway; in July, he'll head to Belgium for Dour Festival; and in September, he'll appear at Promiseland Festival in Queensland, Australia.
