The GRAMMY Foundation will be awarded the John C. Argue Dickens Medal of Honor at the USC Thornton School of Music's 25th Annual Charles Dickens Dinner at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel on Dec. 9. Additional honorees at the event will include Richard Carpenter, who will be awarded the prestigious USC Thornton Legacy Award. Additionally, several GRAMMY Camp alumni have been invited to perform a special rendition of Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" at the black-tie gala.
Through the GRAMMY Foundation, its GRAMMY in the Schools programs invite young people to experience positive music-based opportunities, and help sustain high school music programs across the United States. For the past several years, GRAMMY Camp Los Angeles has been held at the USC Thornton School of Music, and several GRAMMY Camp alumni have gone on to attend the school as well. The USC campus is also the site of the annual GRAMMY Camp — Basic Training occurring during GRAMMY Week.
